Change management & leadership coaching

Change is a team sport.
Most companies play it alone.

I spent ten years as a professional basketball player learning how real teams move through pressure and change. Now I help management teams and middle managers do the same, with a plan people actually follow, not just one they sign off on.

Ten years of pressure taught me more about leadership than any course did.

I played professional basketball for a decade, in Finland and abroad, and was the first Finnish woman to play in the EuroLeague.

Sport teaches you things no classroom does: how to be accountable to people who are counting on you, how to lead when it's your turn and follow when it isn't, and how a team either trusts each other under pressure or falls apart.

After my playing career, I worked as a Financing Specialist at Danske Finance, then moved into a People role at the tech company Qvik, supporting HR, sales and marketing through growth and change. That's where I learned the other half of this: you cannot copy-paste a locker room into a corporation. The two worlds run on different rules.

What I do now sits between them. As a consultant, I bring hands-on experience leading change from inside organizations as a People Specialist, backed by a certification in change management practice. I take what actually works from competitive sport and help companies build change that people can live with.

The playbook

What basketball knows about leading change.

Here's what I can transfer from court to office.

TimeoutCalled before you're already losing
The strategic pauseLeadership takes before reacting
Film reviewWatched together, no ego
Honest retrospectivesWithout it turning into blame
Point guardReads the floor, calls the play
The middle managerWho carries strategy into daily work
Bench depthNo single point of failure
A team, not one heroCulture that survives turnover
Reps in practiceChange happens in the hundredth try
Coaching, not a one-off workshopBecause behavior isn't a one-day fix
The outcome

What you're actually buying isn't a workshop.

It's people who are on board with the change, who understand what it means for them, and who know how to make it happen. In practice, that shows up as three things:

A

High-functioning teams

Teams that trust each other enough to give honest feedback, cover for each other, and keep moving when things get hard.

B

A culture that carries strategy

Not a strategy that lives in a slide deck, but one that shows up in how people actually make decisions day to day.

C

Clarity people can act on

Strategy translated into language specific enough that people know exactly what it means for their part of the work.

Services

Here's how I get you there.

Every organization is starting from a different place, so the right mix of workshops and ongoing coaching looks different each time. Rather than picking from a fixed menu, we start with a conversation about where you are and what you need, and build the format around that.

1

Strategy into everyday life

Strategy usually lives as high-level words that sound good in a deck but mean nothing to the people expected to execute it. I help translate it into plain language: what it actually means for each team, and what's in it for them, so it turns into decisions and habits people carry out, not just understand.

2

Focus for management teams

Helping leadership teams spend their time on what's strategic, instead of getting pulled back into operations. Looking ahead at where the organization is going, not just reporting on where it's been.

3

Coaching for middle managers

Building managers who can lead culture and change day-to-day, not only manage tasks and deadlines.

4

Adapting to the AI era

Helping teams and leaders make sense of how AI is changing work, and adjust without losing their footing.

5

Building team spirit & dynamics

A decade on professional teams taught me what actually makes a group work as one: trust, clear roles, honest feedback, and a shared drive toward the same goal. It rarely happens by accident. I bring those same practices into corporate teams, to build the kind of team spirit that holds up under pressure, not just on a good day.

I rely on theory, but what people leave with is concrete: things they can use in their everyday work the next morning. I don't run one-hit-wonder training programs. I coach, because I want people to actually be at peace with the change they're going through.
Credentials

Grounded in method, proven in practice.

Change management isn't improvisation. My work is built on a recognized methodology, applied by someone who has led change from the inside of an organization, not just advised on it from outside.
